JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position will be to support all activities related to mechanical assembly throughout production. Operate equipment and tools as needed. Assist engineering in resolving mechanical issues. Perform quality assurance on product builds to ensure customer specifications are met. Follow verbal and written instructions and procedures. Use knowledge and experience to create new ideas to improve manufacturing times, lower costs and improve equipment.
  • Gather parts and confirm quantities are correct versus Bill of Materials. Communicate parts shortages to the Operations team.
  • Cut and Machine parts to dimensions and tolerances as specified on mechanical drawings.
  • Assemble parts into sub-assemblies or final products using hand tools and electric tools.
  • Record all job times per current method.
  • Perform Quality Checks per ISO9001 documentation. Inspect and measure incoming materials, manufactured parts, and final products.
  • Package and deliver locally when necessary, product assemblies and kits to customers.
  • Clean machines after use. Clean production area at the end of the day. (This will ensure efficiency and safety.)
  • Perform basic equipment service per Preventative Maintenance schedules. (Lubricate, clean, replace consumables).
  • Learn basic ERP software functions (Print Pick Tickets, complete Transfer forms, Production Order viewing).
  • Perform product installations at customer sites, when required.
  • Any other tasks or duties your supervisor may deem necessary.
  • Assure overall customer satisfaction both internal and externally.
  • Must speak English well.
  • Must communicate effectively with other Technicians, Managers, and Engineers
  • Ability to solve product design issues and come up with an alternative solution is a major plus.
  • Use knowledge and experience to create new ideas to reduce manufacturing times and improve equipment jig setup.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Frequent physical movement (walking and sitting)
  • Frequent physical activity (Lifting and carrying less than 50 lbs. And push 100 lbs.)
  • No special vision or work environment conditions. (Wear corrective lens, if required.)
  • Must be able to work overtime, as required.
