Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand-alone products and products containing printed circuit board assemblies. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery or applicable materials. Perform soldering & crimping terminations of wire assemblies, as required, to mechanical housings & systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
  • Identify hardware, wire assemblies, sheet metal and plastic components.
  • Hand solder wire assemblies utilizing established industry standards to mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Perform wire terminations utilizing specified hand tools such as crimpers.
  • Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.
  • Integration of electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
  • Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
  • Support and follow all ISO standards related to OnCore s various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

  • Sense of urgency, successful at meeting deadlines.
  • Mechanical aptitude/dexterity and the ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity).
  • Pass IPC-A-610, Modules 1 & 2 and J-STD-001.
  • Demonstrate to satisfaction of the auditor ability to do the requirements of the job.
  • Must have ability to comprehend and read work instruction provided in English.
  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 related to wire terminations.
  • Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C.
